NATURE OF RELEASE: Security of rear brake drum bearing circlip.
MODELS AFFECTED: Commando 1971- all models
DISTRIBUTION: Worldwide (Trade Only)
EXPLANATION: A circlip is fitted between the rear brake drum bearing and the felt seal inner retaining washer. The purpose of the circlip is to retain the bearing in the drum and at all times it must be bedded well into the circlip groove.
 
ACTION: Whenever the rear brake drum bearing is re-greased as in Service Release N32, the condition and security of the circlip must be checked.
